State: Obvious/Not So (selected works, 1973-Present)

STATE: Obvious/Not So (Selected Works, 1973-Present) is a retrospective exhibition first presented February – March 2020, at the Freedman Gallery, Albright College, Reading, PA, with a second iteration presented April – May 2022, at the Sordoni Art Gallery, Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre, PA. The show presents a sampling of works spanning five decades. The pieces encompass a variety of approaches and mediums including video, installation, photo pieces, and drawings. In addition to his activities as an artist, Talley has worked as a curator, critic, and is the co-founder of two long-running arts organizations, Real Art Ways (Hartford, CT), and Art Papers (Atlanta, GA). He is Professor Emeritus, Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. The exhibition is available for travel.
